Bill Cowan moved to Lewes 40 years ago as the Executive Officer of the U.S. Naval Facility based at Fort Miles. Bill and his family had finally found home, after having lived many places - from California to Florida. Retiring after over 22 years in the Navy, Bill entered the real estate industry in the early 1970's as an agent for Anderson and Stokes in Rehoboth Beach. Discovering that he had an interest in the Insurance Business, Bill embarked on a 20 year association with Williams Insurance Agency in Rehoboth, dealing exclusively with the commercial side of the industry. Finding that retirement didn't suit his personality, (and not being able to golf in the snow and rain,) Bill has re-entered the Real Estate business, as an Associate Realtor with Remax Realty Group in Lewes. He is a licensed real estate agent in the state of Delaware, and a member of the Sussex County and National Board of REALTORS.
